My Organizational Awakening
Keeping things neat and organized comes naturally to me, but it wasn’t until my husband and I had our first baby that I really started taking my organization skills to the next level.
The big reason for this was out of necessity. The amount of baby items we accumulated after our first child was overwhelming, but we knew we wanted to have another baby. This meant we had to find a way to keep all the clutter– and I wanted to keep it all in order. I began learning the tricks of professional organizers and I developed my own logical system to store all our baby items. I was reading books, taking notes, and applying all these genius hacks to our storage areas and slowly throughout our entire home. Once we had these systems in place, it felt like getting a new pair of glasses. There was this sense of clarity, relief, and new sense of appreciation for everything in our home. Life became simpler.
After organizing our entire home
I didn’t want to stop. The whole process felt uplifting and I found myself sharing my new tricks with friends, family, and anyone who was interested. Before long, I realized that I needed to turn this passion into a full-fledged business, and that’s how Decluttered Space came to be what it is today. For almost three years, I’ve been booking clients and traveling around the New England area to help people like you get started on their own organizational awakening.
